New Port Richey, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A New Port Richey man died Friday night after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing it, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
John Edward Beatty, 56, rode his 2017 Harley Davidson southbound on Sunshine Blvd. when he failed to negotiate a curve, lost control of the bike, and slammed into a tree on the roadside, according to a news release from FHP. He died at the scene. Troopers do not suspect alcohol played a role.
