Whale Says "Thanks!" After Being Freed From Net

In 2011, a nature photographer was on an annual trip to the Sea of Cortez with his family when he stumbled upon a humpback whale that appeared to be dead. He jumped in the water to get a closer look and realized that the whale had become trapped in a gillnet.

The family sprung into action, working together to free the animal. They eventually cut the whale loose, but before he swam off into the sea, he gave them a show they won't soon forget.

We're so glad this video is making the rounds on the internet again- it's just what we needed to start our Monday morning on the right side of the bed!
