Gas Prices Highest In Four Years

Tampa, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Reduced global oil supplies have caused summer travelers to pay a higher price to fill up the tank this year according to Triple A in Tampa.  The average gas price in Florida has hit $2.72 a gallon.  That is the highest since 2014 when Florida gas prices averaged $3.50 a gallon.

The news is not all bad.  Gas prices in Florida have dropped by a half of a cent since a week ago.  Robust refinery output is helping to keep the gas prices fairly steady.

The most expensive gas prices in Florida are in the West Palm Beach-Boca Raton area at $2.84.  The least expensive gas prices can be found in the Tampa Bay area at $2.66 a gallon.
