Scientists at Colorado State University have lowered their hurricane predictions for this season.
Dr. Phil Klotzbach is now anticipating 10 more named storms with four of them becoming hurricanes and only one developing into a Category 3 or higher.
Klotzbach says one of the reasons--Atlantic Ocean temps are cooler than ususal. He also says there should be a weak El Nino weather pattern later this season, which tends to produce wind shear that helps prevent big storms from developing.
