Tampa Father Dead Two Children Injured: Hit And Run Driver In Jail

Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA)-A man is dead and two children are hurt after a hit-and-run in New Tampa.  It happened Sunday on New Tampa Boulevard near Wood Sage Drive.  

Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan says 42-year-old Pedro Aguerreberry was riding bikes with his eight and three-year-old sons Lucas and Bennett when a car crossed into the bike lane and hit them.  The youngest child Bennett suffered serious injuries, eight year old Lucas suffered minor injuries.   

Deputies found the car, a maroon Dodge Avenger in the Pebble Creek subdivision. The suspected driver, 30 year old Mikese Morse,  was arrested last night and taken into custody around 10 p.m.

Morse is facing premeditated murder in the first degree, and leaving the scene of a crash involving death along with two counts of attempted premeditated murder
