Osceola Sheriff's Dispatcher Arrested In Polk

Gonzalez, Michael

Poinciana, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Polk County deputies have arrested a dispatcher from the Osceola County Sheriff's Office for driving under the influence of alcohol after a crash near Poinciana and Cypress Parkways.

Deputies say they got a call about a single vehicle accident where an SUV had crashed into a ditch and was surrounded by water.  The vehicle had to be towed out of the ditch so that the driver could get out of the Nissan Murano.

Deputies noticed 39 year-old Michael Gonzalez showed signs of impairment when he exited the vehicle. The Kissimmee man gave two breath samples, both showing a breath alcohol level of .142.

Gonzalez told deputies he was a full-time dispatcher for the Osceola County Sheriff's Office for the past two years.
