Missing Florida Forester's Body Found in Georgia

BROOKSVILLE (970 WFLA) -- Hernando detectives say the body of a missing Florida Forest Service employee from Brooksville has been found in Camden County, Georgia. 

The remains of Mitzi Babb, 43, were discovered in water. Babb had been missing since leaving work Tuesday afternoon. Her boyfriend, Jeffrey Morrison, 42, was picked up at the weigh station in Hamilton County, Florida, near the Georgia line on I-75. He's being held on charges related to a burglary and arson that happened Thursday in Peach County, Georgia, near Macon. So far Morrison has not been charged in Babb's death or disappearance. 

PREVIOUSLY: 

Hernando deputies are looking for the boyfriend of a missing woman. They want to speak to Jeffrey Morrison, who was involved with Mitzi Babb. The 43 year old woman hasn't been seen since Tuesday and may be in danger. 

Deputies say Morrison is white, 42 years old, has brown hair and blue eyes, and stands about 5 foot 10. He drives a 2011 black or brown Kia Soul, tag number 12-C B T. Call deputies if you see him.

Babb was last seen at her job Tuesday afternoon around 5 in Brooksville. Deputies say she frequently changes hair color and may have blue or purple hair.
