Tampa,Fla. (970 WFLA)-More Americans will travel for the Fourth of July weekend than ever before.
That's the prediction from Triple-A, which says nearly 47-million Americans will journey 50 miles or more away from home, a five-percent increase from last year.
That includes two-point-four million Floridians traveling over the holiday weekend, up six-point-three percent more than a year ago.
Triple-A says consumers remain confident in the economy and have additional disposable income to put toward a summer getaway.
