Biker Crashes Twice in Madeira Beach

Madeira Beach, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A motorcyclist survived two crashes Saturday night that he caused possibly while riding drunk, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.

According to investigators, D'anta Solomon, 30, drove his Volkswagen Jetta northbound on Gulf Blvd. approaching the intersection of 129th Ave. West when he slowed down for a vehicle making a right turn off of Gulf. Lance McLeod, 55, was behind Solomon riding his 2014 Harley Davidson and rear-ended Solomon's car, deputies said. After the impact, McLeod left the scene of the crash and sped off northbound on Gulf Blvd.

Investigators say McLeod continued north towards the intersection of 131st Ave. East, where he rear-ended a second vehicle, a Honda Civic driven by Urszula Boguszewsk, 61, according to a news release from the PCSO. This crash caused McLeod to lose control and fall off his motorcycle.

Paramedics transported McLeod to Bayfront Health  St. Petersburg hospital for serious non-life threatening injuries. No one else was injured as a result of the crash, . investigators have reason to believe McLeod was impaired at the time of the  crash. Their investigation continues.
