Riverview, Fla. (970 WFLA)- Those strong thunderstorms that rocked the Bay area last night are responsible for leaving as many as 100-people homeless, as a lightning strike caused a fire at the Allegro Palms Apartment Complex just after sundown.
"Rosa Perez told News Channel Eight, "It was huge, you could feel the heat coming all the way from across the parking lot."
Hillsborough Fire-Rescue says at least three buildings were on fire.. and 24-units were destroyed. The Red Cross is helping people find places to stay.
