Executives Going Back to School at Florida Poly

LAKELAND (970 WFLA) -- Florida Polytechnic University in Lakeland is trying to get CEO's and executives with I-4 corridor businesses to spend a week on campus.

President Randy Avent says they're signing up a limited number of business executives for a five-day resident executive leadership program in early August, developed by two professors at Harvard Business School.

"The program is... going to hit a lot of the management terms but it's going to have a technology bent," Avent said.

Florida Poly professors will run most of the classes... and at night, the mid-career executives are expected to be networking. The program is limited to about 40 people and runs August 5th through 10th. Signup is going on until July 22nd, or until seats fill up, at the university's website, floridapoly dot edu.
