St. Petersburg, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Police here have identified 51 year-old Michael Cardinal as the man killed as a result of a motor scooter crash at 36th Avenue, North, and 16th Street.
Officers say Cardinal was riding his scooter westbound on 36th Avenue, North, near 16th Street, when the crash happened. Officers say Cardinal stopped at the stop sign, but then moved forward into the path of a car.
Police say Cardinal was not wearing a helmet and died later at Bayfront Health.
No charges against the driver of the car
