Another street racing case in Tampa

There's been another case of street racing in Tampa.

Eddy Durkin of the Tampa Police Department says it happened late Wednesday morning involving a couple of Dodge Challengers.

He says the cars were racing along southbound Florida Avenue when one of the drivers--23-year-old Michael Heiman--hit a car driven by Shawntae Allen.

Both Allen and Heiman were hurt.   Heiman is facing several charges, including Racing on Public Streets and Aggravated Careless Driving.  Police are still looking for the driver of the other Challenger.

A couple of weeks ago, Tampa police say street racing along Bayshore Boulevard resulted in the deaths of an Ohio woman and her 21-month-old daughter as they were crossing the road.  Days later, two others were charged with street racing along Gandy Boulevard.
