Tampa, Fla.-(Newsradio 970WFLA)-You may be able to gas up the Harley as gasoline prices are starting to drop a little. In fact, Tampa's AAA says the national average price of $2.95 a gallon is two cents less than a week ago.
Gas prices in Florida dropped by four cents in a week's time. The Florida average is $2.87. That average is 14 cents more than a month ago and 49 cents more than this time last year.
The most expensive gas in Florida is in the West Palm Beach-Boca Raton area. Least expensisve gas can be purchased in Punta Gorda at $2.77.
The reason behind the drop in price is the cost of crude oil. Crude hit 7-week lows last week as the dollar gained strength.
