Tampa,Fla.(970 WFLA)-After weathering Hurricanes Matthew and Irma the last couple of years, more Floridians are making preparations for the 2018 hurricane season.
It officially started today and a Triple-A survey indicates 81-percent of the state's residents are getting ready ahead of time. That's up by 23-percent from 2016.
Triple-A recommends having a storm kit, an evacuation plan, and proper insurance coverage, including flood insurance.
