Car in fatal Bayshore Boulevard accident traveling 102 mph

Tampa police investigators believe one of the cars involved in last week's pedestrian accident along Bayshore Boulevard which killed an Ohio woman and her 21-month-old daughter reached 102 miles an hour before breaking and trying to avoid the accident.

The Tampa Bay Times says the arrest warrant includes evidence taken from a black Mustang, driven by 18-year-old Cameron Herrin, which indicated that the car hit 102 miles per hour.

The report also includes statements from witnesses who tell detectives they noticed two cars going at a high rate of speed along Bayshore as if they were racing each other.

24-year-old Jessica Raubenolt was struck as she was pushing a stroller with her Lillia across Bayshore at Knights Avenue.  Herrin and 17-year-old john Barrineau are charged with vehicular homicide.
