Memorial Day Weekend in Tampa Bay

KEY TAKEAWAYS:

  • Tampa Bay Margarita Festival takes over Curtis Hixon Park this weekend! Enjoy tequila, beer and wine as well as entertainment- Music headliners are the Wallflowers and Plain White T’s (Saturday) and Everclear and Fastball (Sunday).
  • This is a great weekend to catch a Tampa Bay Rays game! The Rays will be giving away a free Kevin Kiermaier Star Wars pop vinyl figure when the team plays the Baltimore Orioles at 4:10 p.m. on Saturday. Also, Sunday is Family Fun Day! Cars with four or more people get free parking and kids can run the bases following the game.
  • There's a free concert on Memorial Day...but you'll have to get there by boat! A pontoon boat stage is set up at a sandbar off “P” Channel in Riviera Bay, between Weedon Island and St. Pete’s Tanglewood neighborhood. It will start at noon Monday.
  • This Week in Dress Up: Sunset Music Festival! A huge EDM concert will take over Raymond James Stadium. Saturday’s headliner Marshmello and Rezz is one of the most buzzed-about women in all of EDM. Sunday brings Excision, Walker & Royce and Heist.
  • Don't forget- Events and BBQs are fun, but the real reason for Memorial Day is to remember our fallen service members. There’s a ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday at Bay Pines VA Center in St. Petersburg, a Stars and Stripes USO Show at the Coliseum, and a parade in Treasure Island that steps off at Treasure Bay at 9 a.m. Monday, 10315 Paradise Blvd., Treasure Island.
