Panama City Shooter Found Dead

UPDATE 6 pm THE BAY COUNTY SHERIFF CONFIRMS THE SUSPECT IN A SHOOTING AND BARRICADE SITUATION IN PANAMA CITY, FLORIDA, IS FOUND DEAD. 


PANAMA CITY FL (970 WFLA) -- For much of the afternoon, schools and businesses have been on lockdown in Panama City, because of an active shooter situation at lunchtime. 

Witnesses heard from 50 to 100 gunshots outside the Briarwood Apartments, off Beck Avenue on the city's west side. 

The Bay County Sheriff's Office says the shooter is Kevin Holroyd, 49, wanted in connection with a murder investigation in Santa Rosa Beach, in nearby Walton County.
