Plant City, Fla.-(5/13/2018)-I've been too involved in these Lightning playoff games. It's like a good book that you can't put down.
I needed some relief from the war on the ice. A good motorcycle ride was in order. Got with Terry and Rob and took a tour of some of the phosphate mine roads in Polk and Hillsborough.
Terry was a surveyor and worked a lot of the territory in the past. He knows those roads. We started south of Mulberry and rode though some interesting territory. If you live in the city you probably aren't aware this much open space still exists.
Lots of twists and turns, dips and rough roads. Not a lot of cars and trucks out of those roads during the weekends. We stopped a few times just to take in the scenery.
We passed through a bit of Manatee and then back up Route 39 into Hillsborough and Plant City. It's a nice little ride that gives you an escape from the big city.
Now are you ready for some hockey? GO BOLTS!!
