Riverview, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A single-car crash at high speed crash killed the driver Friday night, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Ever Noe Chaves Romero, 21, of Riverview, drove northbound on I-75 approaching the 252.5 milepost "at a high rate of speed," according to a news release from the FHP, when he lost control of his car. It went off the road and collided with a pole.
Troopers had not determined if alcohol played a role in the crash. Romero did have his seat belt on at the time, according to the news release.
