Look to the skies; Tampa's AirFest gets underway this weekend

It's a big weekend at Tampa's MacDill Air Force Base.  It's Airfest 2018.

The base's Terry Montrose says Gates open at 8 a.m. through 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.  There'll be 26 military vehicles and aircraft on display, most of which you can explore.

Then, look to the skies.  Aerial demonstrations begin at 11 a.m.  This year, there'll be three air demonstrations featuring Air Force F-22 and A-10 teams followed by the headliner, the Navy Blue Angels at 3 p.m.

It'll be hot, so you're encouraged to bring water bottles that you can refill at a number of water stations throughout the event area.  Best part--the event and parking are free.
