Port Tampa Bay Gets a Third Carnival Cruise Ship

MIAMI (970 WFLA) -- Carnival Cruise Line is moving a third ship to Port Tampa Bay. 

The Carnival Legend will arrive in Tampa in October 2019. 

Right now it's in drydock in Portland, Oregon, and will spend a few months each in Seattle and Australia. The Legend holds more than 21 hundred passengers. 

It'll arrive in Tampa at the end of a cruise through the Panama Canal that starts October 12th in Los Angeles and ends here October 27th of next year.  

Carnival will use the legend for a 14 day cruise out of Tampa to the Panama Canal and other Caribbean destinations December 1 through 15, 2019.

 Carnival already hosts the Miracle and Paradise cruise ships at Port Tampa Bay.
