Fugitive Arrested In Polk

Anderson, Krystle

Winter Haven, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Polk County deputies and the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force have arrested 39-year-old Krystle Lee Anderson.  Anderson was wanted on an Orange County warrant for failure to appear on charges of armed kidnapping, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on a law officer, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and false imprisonment.

Forty eight year-old John Robert Carr, Jr., who is Anderson's boyfriend, was hiding Anderson when the task force and deputies arrived at his home on Lake Elizabeth Drive in Winter Haven. He was also arrested for resisting arrest.

Back, in 2015, Anderson went into a Burger King in Orange County, where she held the people inside hostage with a firearm until she was involved in a shooting with an Ocoee police officer.  Anderson was injured and lost both of her legs. It turned out that Anderson's weapon was a BB gun.

Anderson failed to show for a court appearance on the charges, so a failure to appear warrant was issued.
