Another Bay Area Confederate monument is on the move

Once again, the confederate monument issue ignites emotion.

Lakeland city commissioners heard from the public before deciding to move a confederate statue from downtown's Munn Park to the Lakeland Veterans Memorial Park.

Commissioners decided in December to move the 26-foot-tall statue but hadn't determined where.  They also assure the $250,000 cost will be paid through private donations,  not tax dollars.
