South Pasadena, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A man suffered life-threatening injuries when she walked into traffic and a car struck her Friday, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.
David Hutman, 82, had a green light as he drove on Pasadena Avenue South approaching Shore Drive South when Martin Walsh, 81, tried to cross Pasadena, according to a news release from the PCSO.
Witnesses told investigators that Walsh "darted out in front of" Hutman's BMW while Hutman had a green light, according to the news release. Paramedics took Walsh to Bayfront Health in St. Petersburg.
"Investigators do not believe speed or impairment were factors in the crash," the Sheriff's Office said.
