North Port, Fla. (970 WFLA)-A home in the 4800 block of Weatherton Street in North Port was completely destroyed by fire early this morning.
North Port Fire Rescue reports the house was fully involved in flames when they arrived around 2 am.
According to North Port Fire Rescue, they didn't arrive in time to save the house because the residents were out of town in North Carolina and the neighbors were sleeping.
The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.
