Stealing One Car With A Baby Inside Not Enough For A St Pete Bad Guy

St. Petersburg, Fla. (970 WFLA)-A man who earlier this week allegedly stole a car with a baby inside is  in custody after he was caught driving a stolen car this morning in St. Petersburg.

Just before 2 AM, St. Petersburg Police spotted a Toyota Corolla that had been reported stolen,  behind the wheel,  20 year old Rashad Webb.

Webb is facing charges after he allegedly  stole a car with a baby inside on Monday from the Gateway On 4th Apartments.  When he realized the baby was in the car, he dropped him off in the parking lot where the child was found.

This morning,  when police tried to pull over the stolen Toyota, Webb hit the gas.   He was stopped in the 2200 block of 15th avenue south and surrendered after officers  deployed  stop sticks to flatten the car tires.

Webb has been  arrested and  charged with child abuse, occupied vehicle burglary, and auto theft, for Monday's crime spree.  Today's  charges include auto theft, fleeing and eluding, and no valid driver's license.

Starting at the age of ten, Webb has been arrested 27 times in Pinellas County .
