During the brief court hearing, Howell Donaldson III's public defenders say they believe Donaldson is does not have the mental capacity to understand the legal process pertaining to his quadruple murder case.
Hillsborough Circuit Judge Mark Wolfe granted the defense's request to appoint a psychologist to evaluate Donaldson, who was in court for this hearing. So were his parents, who mouthed the words "I love you" to him as he left, giving them a small smile.
There'll be a hearing on the psychologist's report May 31st.
