TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) –Tampa’s first female police chief has decided to run for mayor.
Former Tampa police chief Jane Castor has created a Facebook page called, “Jane Castor for Mayor.”
So far, the only post on the page is a photo of Castor.
Castor is a Tampa native who worked her way up the ranks of the police force for more than three decades to become the department's first female chief of police.
Last June, sources confirmed to WFLA that Castor planned to run for Tampa Mayor, but Castor herself had not confirmed that.
