Ruskin, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A Ruskin man tied up and held a woman captive in a vacant home to sexually abuse her, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
A friend dropped the victim off at the home in Ruskin Wednesday, where Roberts guided her to the rear entrance and led her inside. There, Roberts struck her numerous times in the head, according to a news release from HCSO.
Roberts held a machete to her neck, tied her up and sexually battered her, deputies said, over a period of 18 hours before she could escape.
Detectives got a search warrant and found evidence inside the home consistent with the victim's claims. They also found video of the victim, bound and naked, on Roberts's phone, they said. They took him to the Hillsborough County Jail on charges of sexual battery, aggravated battery and kidnapping, according to the news release.
