As you may know, last weekend’s Humboldt tragedy hit very close to home for two members of the Lightning and their families: Brayden Coburn and Brad Lauer.
In working with them and with Mr. Vinik’s blessing The Tampa Bay Lightning have elected to donate the proceeds of Thursday’s 50/50 to assist those closest to that horrible accident. The Humboldt Broncos Alumni Association has established a fund to help with operations and viability of the team after this tragedy. The Coburn’s and the Lauer’s are personally supporting this fund.
