Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA)-Tampa Police have arrested a road rage suspect who's accused of attacking a man because he was spitting at his BMW.
44-year old Teddy Smith is accused of getting out of his car at the intersection of Fowler Avenue and I-275.. and stabbing 56-year old Gilbert Serna, who was a passenger in a pickup truck. Serna later died.
Police found that black BMW Wednesday night in a parking lot in Tampa... and after talking with Smith, they charged him with second degree murder. According to jail records, Smith has been arrested in recent years on charges ranging from false imprisonment, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, battery, to possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia.
Most recently, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in 2016.
