Bartow, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Polk County detectives say they have arrested 53 year-old Marvin Brewer for last month's murder of 58 year-old Tammy Butler in Mulberry.
Deputies say the woman's body was found inside her home on 1st Avenue several days after her murder. Friends got worried and called deputies to say Butler had not been seen for a few days.
Detectives say they started looking at Brewer as a possible suspect after finding his phone number on Butler's phone. Investigators say that the Bartow man and Butler had lived together at one time.
DNA from Brewer was also found on Butler. Based on the evidence collected during the investigation, Brewer was charged with first degree murder.
