Winter Haven, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd says his deputies have just wrapped-up "Operation Cyber Guardian." Judd says the effort targeted online child predators.
Judd says 16 men were arrested during the week-long undercover operation for traveling to have sex with children. The 16 suspects face a total of 62 charges, including 56 felonies and six misdemeanors. Those charges include attempted lewd battery, use of a computer to seduce a child, traveling to meet a minor and many more.
Polk County detectives, along with detectives and investigators from other law enforcement agencies, conducted the operation from March 25th through March 31st.
