Seminole, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A car crash killed a man who might have suffered a medical emergency as he drove, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.
James Moriarty, 76, crossed the concrete median as he drove on Park Blvd. at about 4:15 p.m. Friday, went across oncoming lanes, a sidewalk, the yards of two homes and finally into a large tree, according to a PCSO news release.
Paramedics took Moriarty to Largo Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Investigators say he "possibly suffered a medical episode which may have led to the crash," according to the release. "Speed was a factor in this crash," it said.
