Bradenton, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-The Manatee County Sheriff's Office Cold Case Homicide Unit has solved a 2006 murder case with an arrest.
Deputies say they're charging 33 year-old Xiomar Rosario for the July 28th, 2006, shooting death of Jose Rodriguez-Lozada on 3rd Street, West, in Bradenton. Rosario was a person of interest at the time of the shooting, but they couldn't prove he pulled the trigger.
New information in the case last year turned into new leads for detectives. Those leads led deputies to Rosario. Rosario did not resist the arrest.
Detectives believe the shooting was drug related.
