Gibsonton Fla,(970 WFLA)-An eighteen wheeler, along with two dump trucks and a truck towing a trailer were heading south on I-75 south of Gibsonton Drive, when the driver of the semi-tractor trailer lost control of his rig, as he tried to avoid a crash with one of the dump trucks.
The semi crashed into a trailer being towed by one of the dump trucks, which then sent that truck crashing into the rear of a fourth truck.
The collision caused paint and diesel fuel to spill, forcing the closing of southbound I-75 through much of the overnight hours. No one was injured.
According to Sgt. Steve Gaskins of the Florida Highway Patrol, the roadway repairs are extensive. You should expect delays through much of the day.
