TAMPA (970 WFLA) -- It's been a record-setting season for cruise business at Port Tampa Bay... Cruise Marketing and Business Development Director Greg Lovelace says the number of passengers set a record for the weekend of February 17th, with almost 23 thousand passing through the port.
Lovelace says Carnival has been a major factor in driving new passenger traffic, bringing in a second cruise ship and renovating the first.
The Carnival Paradise reopened for its first cruise this week. Seven ships call Port Tampa Bay home at one time
February though April is peak season for Port Tampa Bay cruises.
