Cops: Man Dealt Meth from North Port Hotel Room

North Port, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A Nokomis man already well-acquainted with the justice system entered it again after his arrest on drug trafficking charges.

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office says that Dylan Woodward, 26, sold drugs out of a North Port hotel room. Detectives say they caught Woodward March 15 with more than 170 grams of methampetamine, oxycodone pills, various drug paraphernailia, and $740 in cash.

Woodward, who has 18 previous arrests, was also wanted on three outstanding warrants for contempt of court, according to a news release from the SCSO. He faces new charges of trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of oxycodone. He remains in custody on $26,500 bond.
