Tampa Officer Shot Serving Warrant


Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA)-Two Tampa Police Officers came under gunfire this morning while trying to serve an arrest  warrant at a home in the 4600 block of North Hubert in Drew Park, one officer was shot several times.   

Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan says the shooter is 35 year old Walter Jeziorski.   According to Chief Dugan Jeziorski has a history of making threats against his family.  Jeziorski refused to come out until his mother convinced him to give up. 

Chief Dugan says this could have been much worse, inside the home officers found several assault rifles inside the home 

The injured officer, Richard Lehr, was taken to the hospital  where he is conscious and in stable condition.
