New Port Richey, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A man lying in a roadway died after a minivan struck and killed him Friday night, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers do not know why Patrick Fitapelli, 29, lay in the roadway when the 2003 Dodge Caravan driven by Aaron Sipiszky, 36, of New Port Richey struck him at about 8:49 p.m., according to a news release from the FHP.
Fitapelli, also from New Port Richey, died at the scene.
