Sarasota, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Sarasota County deputies have arrested a man for bringing a concealed weapon onto a school campus here.
Investigators say 58 year-old Wilfred Nazario was called to Lakeview Elementary to pick up his grandson after a dispute there. A witness spotted Nazario tuck a pistol into his waistband when he got out of his vehicle at the school.
Deputies were called in and confronted Nazario. Nazario admitted that he was carrying a concealed weapon. Even though Nazario has a concealed weapons license, the law prohibits firearms from being carried on school grounds.
Nazario is charged with one count of possession of a concealed firearm on a school campus.
