SPRING HILL (970 WFLA) -- A warning for parents, after a 23 year old man uses a new social media app to find a 12 year old girl and rape her.
Pasco Sheriff's deputies say Tyler Dempsey of Spring Hill told them he lured the victim and two of her friends to his sister's home using an app called Whisper, which allows anonymous communication.
Deputies say Dempsey admitted assaulting the victim. She called deputies. Dempsey's in jail.
Sheriff Chris Nocco says parents need to monitor their children's online activities.
