The executive committee of CareerSource Pinellas has voted to fire suspended CEO Ed Peachey and give him a five-month severance deal.
It's the same action taken by the CareerSource Tampa Bay board on Monday.
This latest decision may not be final though. It may have to be approved by the full board soon.
Peachey was suspended with pay from CareerSource Pinellas amidst allegations that the non-profit employment agency, on both sides of the bay, falsified jobs numbers to the state.
The state Department of Economic Opportunity has been investigating, as well as the U.S. Department of Labor. Peachey has denied any wrongdoing.
