Tampa, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Tampa Police have identified 24 year-old Yasiel Ramirez-Guitierrez as the victim of that hit and run fatal on the Courtney-Campbell Causeway.
Investigators say Ramirez-Guitierrez was riding his motorcycle at a high rate of speed on the westbound Courtney-Campbell when his bike hit the rear end of a pickup truck. The pickup was making a U-turn at the Ben T. Davis Beach light.
Police say the impact from the crash ejected the rider from his motorcycle onto the roadway. Ramirez-Guitierrez was then struck by two more vehicles while in the roadway. One of the vehicles involved stopped and the other took off. The rider was dead at the scene.
