Tampa, Fla.-(2/25/2018)-I feel like Earl Pitts. You know, I'm sick of it. The flu season and all the other crap flying around finally got me.
I got to work the other day and had the chills and a dizzy feeling. Only one thing to do. It was home and into bed. Rest is best. Not sure what it was. It's finally going away.
I got my flu shot, but the experts say it's only about 35 percent effective. I guess they made a bad guess.
I talked with a friend who said he got the shot and then the worst episode of flu he has ever had. I'd still recommend getting the shot. Some protection is better than none.
Getting any kind of illness sucks when it comes as you have weekend plans. I missed the Strawberry Festival press party. I didn't feel much like berries.
I heard the other day that the experts at the Centers for Disease Control say the flu season has peaked. I also heard that you could catch the flu twice.
The flu has killed more kids than the shooter did at Douglas High. If we can work toward a way to keep kids safe at school, why can't we do a better job of keeping the population safe from flu?
Sorry. Too much Earl Pitts.
