Sarasota, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-A stop for a traffic infraction at Cattleman Road and Colonial Oaks Boulevard has 30 year-old Ryan Snyder behind bars. It was the drugs deputies found, not the traffic violation, that brought Snyder to jail.
Deputies say Snyder stopped when deputies pulled him over, but then took off at a high rate of speed. Deputies say Snyder soon crashed the Mercedes into another vehicle at Arcadia and Bahia Vista. Investigators say the man didn't stop there, but deputies caught up with him on Honore Avenue.
Deputies say they found methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia inside the car. Deputies say they found out that the Mercedes had been stolen and that Snyder was driving on a suspended license.
Deputies also found Snyder to be in possession of two credit cards and an I.D. that belong to someone else. They say Snyder has prior arrests for Grand Theft, Burglary and Battery.
