BRADENTON (970 WFLA) -- Police have arrested one student over a threat made to Manatee High School immediately following the Parkland massacre.
In the process of investigating that threat, they discovered another.
Bradenton police and the FBI are charging Darien Olliff, 14, with making a false report concerning weapons of mass destruction or firearms... a second-degree felony.
Police say a student found a note February 15, warning of a shooting February 22nd at 12:15. They stepped up presence at Manatee High and other local schools.
While investigating the first note, detectives discovered a second note threatening a shooting on campus Wednesday. They're actively following up leads on that threat and keeping an increased presence in place at Manatee and other schools.
