Clearwater, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A used car dealership owner stands accused of sexual battery on a 17-year-old boy, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.
David A. West, 56, met the boy at his business, D&D Auto Center on Overbrook Avenue, a few months ago, where the teenager talked to West about buying a car, according to a PCSO news release.
Saturday, detectives said, West called the boy, picked him up, and drove him to West's. There, West told the boy to remove his clothes then "forced the victim to have sexual activity with him," according to the release.
West was arrested early Sunday. At the time of his arrest, he had baggie in his pocket with cocaine in it, deputies said. He went to the Pinellas County Jail on one count of sexual battery and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
