Health Advisories Lifted For Two Beaches

Tampa, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-The health advisories for Simmons Park Beach and Bahia Beach have been lifted after tests show harmful levels of bad bacteria have dropped.

High levels of enterococci bacteria had caused the Hillsborough County Health Department to warn swimmers to stay out of the water.

While Simmons and Bahia Beaches are now within Environmental Protection Agency guidelines, one other beach is closed until the water tests clean.  Cypress Point Beach has been deemed unsafe for swimmers because of high levels of enterococci bacteria.

The water at Cypress Point will be tested next week to see if the water is within the satisfactory range.
